Program Outline

Who:

Indigenous young people in foster care in New South Wales, Sydney Region. Aged 15 - 18 years old.

Where:

CEAD Centre
255 Wilson Street,
North Eveleigh, NSW

When:

3:15pm – 6:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays

What:

The program will provide a wide range of fun and engaging activities to assist the young people to build their self-esteem and connect with their community and culture.

How:

The young people will be picked up form school by their mentors, taken to the mentoring session and dropped back to their home address after the program. The program will enhance their skills and abilities in the areas of education, empowerment, life after care skills, health, cultural identity and giving back.

Is by having personal dignity first, defined by the choices you make and it will encourage others to respect you.

Applying the LEADER principles won’t cost a thing, but it will later bring greater value to your life than you ever expected. As with anything in your life if you practice and be consistent, you will soon turn the LEADER principles into your normal life habits.
